In the fourth round of the League for the survival the Kings from Jajce defeated the hosts from Široki Brijeg.
The decisive gaol was scored by Elvedin Aletić at the opening of the second half and then the Kings managed to withstand the pressure and maintain the lead. Although the hosts announced a combined team as well as in a duel with Vitez, coach Sablic sent the strongest lineup on the field.
The Kings set up bravely, they did not just defend themselves and in the first part of the match could have taken the lead through Smajic and twice Beganović. But the shots of our attackers were defended by Bilobrk and after a header from Beganović the ball was cleared from the goal-line by Markovic. On the other hand, the host had a great chance by Ivankovic whose shot was saved by Fejzic. The game was harsh and judge Mulahasanović had to reach for a yellow card several times.
In the 55 minute Elvedin Aletić received the ball in the opposition’s penalty area and masterfully put the ball behind Bilobrk. After a few minutes The Kings could have been able to double the advantage but Zebas shot from a good position went just wide. After Wagner entered the game the hosts put the pressure on Metalleghe and created several dangerous oportunities in front of our goal, but then Fejzic entered the scene and in the 73 minute defended a shot from Menalo who was seven meters away from the goal.
With this victory the Kings passed Vitez on the table, and in relation to the relegation zone have a big five-point lead. The victory is more important when it is known that Jajčani performed without Benović, Vidovic, Durak, Vidakovic, Kurbanov.
It is interesting that out of seven wins of Metalleghe BSI five were achieved away, on Bilino Polje, Kosevo, Otoci, Pod Bijelim Brijegom and now on Pecara. Enviable record for a rookie in the league.
In the next three rounds Kings are three times “hosts” in Banja Luka where Mladost, Vitez and Olimpic will arrive.
NK Metalleghe BSI: Fejzic, Jovanovic, Aletić, Kovac (77 Jakupovic), Smajic (89 Asanović), Zeba, Deak, Beganović, Rasic, Saric, Jozic.
