NK Metalleghe BSI was founded on August 6, 2009 in order to continue the club’s cherishing and nurturing tradition of football in the town of Jajce.
History filled with successes
Before the start of the 2013/2014 season. news that delighted the sports and social public in Jajce, and beyond, was the decision of the B.S.I. Ltd. to become the general sponsor of the club. From the very beginning of its business, Metalleghe Italy group and B.S.I. Ltd. Jajce as part of the group, set themselves the goal of continuous growth and development with respect to basic principles, principles of economic viability, environmental friendliness and social responsibility. The result of such a business policy is the financial support to NK METALLEGHE BSI in order to evaluate the obvious potential and quality of the Club by supporting the transition from amateur to a professional way of work, as well as to improving the quality of the club’s structure. The Club is headed by Zoran Dekic, a successful entrepreneur who particularly emphasizes the development of youth facilities, and certainly the Club is one of the few in BiH who does not charge a membership fee and invest in the proper development of every student of the football school.
“In recent years, the Club has worked intensively to build a youth football school. Coaches were educated, children participated in regular competitions, went to numerous tournaments in BiH and neighboring countries … More than 150 boys are registered in the whole youth facility and the youngest selections start from the new season with the league competition, ”said Mr. Dekić.
The first significant results became visible, only in the last year and this year about 10 boys wore jerseys of BiH selections of different ages, and in the senior team in the competition for the first 11 are 8 local young football players: Ivan Tankuljić, Marin Samardžić, Matej Pilic, Danijel Perak , Pejo Tomazic, Marko Brtan, Hrvoje Jaksic and Mihael Maric.
In the 2015/16 season. NK Metalleghe BSI won the First League of FBiH and achieved promotion to the Premier League of BiH! However, due to the poor infrastructure of the Mračaj stadium, the Kings played home games in Travnik and Banja Luka. This was one of the main reasons why the Kings “danced only one summer” in the highest BiH football class. However, football fans will be remembered their victories at Bilino Polje, Kosevo, Pecara, Bijeli brijeg…
Celebrating 10th Birthday
The club will celebrate this little anniversary in a convenient way, and one of the events has already taken place. Namely, in Tomislavgrad a friendly match was played between the Kings and Hajduk. NK Metalleghe BSI will organize the “III Memorial Tournament Jozo Lucic in Jajce on 16th and 17th August. The tournament will be played in the Sports Hall on the occasion of the Club’s tenth birthday, and in memory of one of the Club’s founders, the late Jozo Lucic. The tournament will feature teams from Bugojno, Donji Vakuf, Travnik, Sipovo, Mrkonjic Grad and Jajce in the competition of the youngest selections. This Wednesday, pre-pioneers and pioneers will host peers from Banja Luka’s OFK Sport team on Mračaj. Also, a match is planned on Mračaj between the Kings and Željezničar from Sarajevo, which should be played in one of the national team breaks.
One of the youngest BiH football clubs, Metalleghe BSI from Jajce, continues to make positive strides in its organizational structure. Namely, for the second time the club has received the certificate – ISO 9001: 2015 for the organization and management of the club.
Specifically, on 27 January 2016, Metalleghe BSI received this prestigious certificate for the first time, and after the controls carried out in recent years and in accordance with the TIC audit and certification procedures, a harmonized application has been proven according to the rules of the reputable TÜV Thüringen. Thus, the Kings who are celebrating their tenth birthday this year, and for the next three years, will be the only BiH club to have this significant certificate.
The certificate is a proof of a correct and successful organizational structure and also an obligation for the Club to continue its promotion as it is subject to regular supervisory audits according to strict procedures.
Infrastructure is the biggest obstacle
The long-standing problem for the achievement of the set goals of the Club is the poor condition of the stadium Mračaj in Jajce. But this year could be a turning point in this segment as well. Specifically, the Municipal Council adopted a decision to purchase the stadium, which was privatized in the late 1990s. Intensive work is being done to develop project documentation for what the new Mračaj should look like, and the Municipality has announced that the construction of a new stadium should start in 2020. By then, lawns and changing rooms are planned for the Kings to play their new first league season in their town as well.
All the Club selections enter the new season after successful training processes. The senior team wants to continue with their successful games and establish themselves as a stable first league team near the top of the table. Therefore, the returnees Bevanda and Samardžić arrived from Zrinjski, Kukavica (Rudar Prijedor), Soldatović and Zekić (Podrinje), Kapetan (Gorazde), Jolovic (Slavia), Peno (Sloboda Mrkonjic grad), Ceman (Zeljeznicar), Trako (Novi Travnik), Jusic (Krupa) arrived this summer. Mostly, these are young footballers eager to prove themselves.
Juniors and cadets will play in the Youth League West and the juniors will again try to find a way to join the Premier League. At the end of last season, that route was halted at the finals played in Sarajevo.
Pioneers and pre-pioneers are the selections with which the club is most proud of. Both selections were at the very top of the SBK / KSB Youth Leagues, and for their results they were rewarded with invitations to BiH selections and new equipment.
